Welcome to the website of Alsop Racing - Nigel and Johnny Alsop's wild looking supercharged, alcohol injected, 388 cubic inch small block Chev powered "Pro Mod" style 1941 Willys Coupe.

The 2008/2009 season (still only our second season with this new car) went extremely well and exceeded even our expectations. Highliighted by 1st place in 'Competition' at the Digga Southern Nationals, taking the car up to the Century Batteries Drag Racing Nationals at Meremere and getting runner-up in Competition, "Best Presented Car and Crew", and setting a new BB/Altered national record - 7.13 seconds @ 190 mph. We also ended up second in Competition in the NZDRA National Points series - with only 3 national points meetings under our belt.

The Willys Coupe is parked up in the workshop now and about to undergo an extensive winter maintenance programme, ready to come back out next season and continue on our winning ways!
